At Henley Stone Specialists, we take great pride in seeing our specialist Henley Rail team awarded the contract to deliver vital restoration works at Darlington Station, in partnership with CML Civil Engineering.
As façade specialists, we understand the complexity and care required when working with heritage masonry. The project will see Henley Rail carefully dismantle and reconstruct two historic stone and brick gable walls, following the discovery of structural weaknesses in the original façade.
Henley Rail’s heritage-trained teams uphold our Group’s high standards, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering expertise. Every stone and brick is handled with care for its history, then rebuilt to meet today’s performance requirements.
This project is an important step in preserving the architectural character of Darlington Station, and we look forward to seeing the project progress alongside partners CML, AHR, and LNER.
