At Henley Stone Specialists, we take great pride in the achievements of our colleagues across the Henley Construction Management Group. We’re especially delighted to celebrate the recent success of our sister division, Henley Restoration & Remedials, whose outstanding work on the West Bromwich Town Hall and Library project has contributed to the Victorian Society Birmingham & West Midlands Group’s 10th Annual Conservation Award.
This prestigious award recognises excellence in the conservation of Victorian and Edwardian architecture, and it is a testament to the remarkable craftsmanship, care, and technical expertise that went into restoring one of the region’s most iconic civic buildings.
Working in collaboration with Morgan Sindall Construction and their client Sandwell Council, the team at Henley Restoration & Remedials delivered a meticulous restoration of this Grade II-listed Italian Gothic landmark. The project included the repair and enhancement of over 200 heritage timber-framed windows, some of which stood at an impressive 3 metres high by 2 metres wide, along with internal lime plastering and the careful restoration of the tower’s iconic terracotta columns.
