New Chapter for Henley Construction Management Group Strengthens Our Specialist Capabilities

Henley Stone Specialists is proud to be part of a major step forward for the wider Henley Construction Management Group, following the completion of a management buyout and the acquisition of façade engineering consultancy Smart Crosby International (SCI).

Together, these moves strengthen both leadership and technical capability across the group.

The business is now led by longstanding senior team members Tom Cardoe, Jon Henley, Dave Cawley and Jim Wenham. Founding directors Shaun and Zoe Henley remain involved, continuing to support the group at a strategic level.

For us as a specialist division, this marks an important moment. It provides continuity in leadership and a clear platform for growth across the group.

Strengthening what we deliver

Alongside the buyout, the acquisition of SCI adds specialist capability in façade engineering, structural analysis and technical coordination.

Stone sits at the centre of many façade packages, and having this expertise within the group allows for better coordination from design through to installation. Key details can be resolved earlier, improving efficiency on site and the overall quality of delivery.

Tom Cardoe said:

A natural fit

SCI is not new to us. They have been a trusted partner on previous projects, so bringing them into the group is a natural progression.

There is already a strong understanding between teams, which supports better collaboration on complex façade systems where coordination is essential. For our clients, this means a more joined up approach and greater confidence in how façade packages are delivered.

SCI will also continue to act independently for clients where required, maintaining their role in providing impartial engineering advice.
